We’ve had a lot of users complain about having to pay extra to access the internet, but Apple doesn’t seem to have an issue with it.
The company announced today that it’s expanding its Free VPN program, adding an additional feature to its iOS app: it will now provide free access to the VPNs in its own network, if you’re an Apple user.
That means if you use your phone or iPad to connect to an Apple VPN, you’ll now have the option to access it at no extra cost.
Users who subscribe to a $10 per month plan will be able to access their favorite VPN providers, regardless of the provider they’re using.
Apple also announced that it will soon add the ability to download additional VPN services to its app.
It doesn’t mention which VPNs these will be, but it’s clear the company wants to offer a variety of services for users.
As you can see, Apple is adding a bunch of VPNs to its service, including several that are free to use and that are also popular with the general public.
It’s not entirely clear why these VPNs are now part of the iPhone app, though.
It may be that Apple’s own network doesn’t support these services, or it could be that the company is just using the Free VPN service to make its customers happy.
Either way, you can check out the new feature right here.
